The television magazine of the Presidential Program Sounds for Peacebuilding has been nominated in the category of Best Journalistic Production at the prestigious India Catalina Awards for Colombian television. This recognition highlights the program’s valuable contribution to cultural transformation and peacebuilding through the arts.
From the University of Cauca—an institution leading the implementation of this educational strategy by bringing artistic and musical training processes to 227 educational institutions in the departments of Cauca, Huila, and Nariño—we extend a special invitation to the entire Unicaucana community, territorial teams, educational institutions, and residents of southwestern Colombia to join in celebrating this achievement. Over its 25 episodes, broadcast between October and December 2024, the program brought the Colombian soundscape to screens, celebrating musical diversity and highlighting the transformative work of teachers and knowledge bearers.
