The Russian mathematician Victor Ivan Vurinkof visits the University of Cauca. The professor will conduct a course in the field of mathematics and engineering.
The mathematician Victor Ivan Vurinkof will conduct a course on real analysis and generalized functions. The invitation goes to master students in Mathematics and Physics Engineering, and faculty of the Mathematics Department of the University of Cauca.
This international visit is part of an invitation made by the professor Francisco Enriquez with the support of the “Profesores invitados” from Icetex through the Office of Inter-institutiona and International Relations of the institution.
"The Professor Vurinkof will conduct a plenary lecture related to applied mathematics and computer science at San Andrés, after November 25," said Professor Francisco Enriquez.
Professor Victor Ivan Vurinkof works at the University of Cardiff in Great Britain, visited professor at the Eurasian University in Astana (Kazakhstan) and is part of the team of external consultants in the Master's program in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Cauca .
Through actions such as visiting professors from other universities in the world, the University of Cauca seeks to position and strengthen its internationalization as key part of it strategic plan, as outlined in the Institutional Development Plan 2013-2015.
