The Rude-Colombia National Curriculum and Self-Assessment Committee was held at the University of Cauca
At the head of the rector, Deibar René Hurtado, who last March was elected as president of the Colombian Universities Network, Rude-Colombia, the meeting of the Curricular and National Self-Evaluation Committee of this important association was held. The activity took place on April 17 and 18, in the Council Hall of the University of Cauca.
The Network of State Universities of Colombia, Rude-Colombia, is the union of nine state universities with High Quality accreditation, which have worked together to promote the first Doctorate in Education Sciences. The network is made up of the Universidad del Atlántico, the University of Cartagena, the University of Magdalena, the University of Nariño, the University of Quindío, the University of Tolima, the Technological University of Pereira, the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia, and the University of Cauca.
In this sense, the Curricular and National Self-Assessment Committee had the objective of continuing to strengthen, through improvement plans, this great inter-institutional effort that is Rude-Colombia. “We have made an analysis of how the doctorate has been working in these two post-pandemic years, because it has been a process of academic and administrative reactivation, we have been discussing the issue of the new national direction and also a little about what the horizon of work that we are going to assume with a view to the accreditation process that we have had throughout this last year of the doctorate”, expressed the rector, Deibar René Hurtado Herrera.
It should be noted that the Doctorate in Education Sciences is a very important academic commitment since it has great coverage at the national level, and it turns out to be an example of articulated work in addition to faithfully reflecting the effort of Higher Education Institutions with Accreditation of High Quality for training critical and caring researchers. Thus, the rector, Deibar René Hurtado Herrera, as the new President of Rude-Colombia, has proposed that the Self-Assessment Curricular Committees be carried out more frequently, with a view to responding quickly to all the challenges and new opportunities that may arise.
Finally, we thank all the representatives of the different universities that have accompanied us during these work days and we ratify our commitment to continue working together, from a University of Excellence and Solidarity, which is strengthening itself to provide the country with different academic training scenarios with the highest standards.
