Universidad del Cauca shone brightly at the ASCUN DAF National University Games 2025, held in Medellín, earning a total of fifteen medals. This achievement is not just a collection of sporting victories, but a powerful reflection of teamwork, dedication, and the deep commitment that unites our entire university community, from leadership to every single member.

Adding to the path forged in previous editions, and reminding us of the importance of sports as a vehicle for well-being, integration, and university pride, from August 13 to 18 a remarkable delegation made up of professors, administrative staff, and support personnel from Universidad del Cauca lived an unforgettable experience in the Antioquian capital. Their participation in the ASCUN DAF 2025 National University Games for staff was a true display of integration, camaraderie, and institutional pride. They competed with passion in eleven disciplines: chess, athletics, three-cushion billiards, soccer, futsal, mini-tejo, swimming, squash, tejo, tennis, and table tennis. Beyond the medals, their presence was eloquent testimony to the diverse and united human talent that drives the Alma Mater of Cauca.

The performance of our delegation was simply outstanding, bringing home a total of 4 gold medals, 3 silver, and 8 bronze. These victories are the result of both individual and collective effort, but above all, of the intrinsic value of cultivating spaces where sports become a fundamental engine for well-being, teamwork, and strengthening our sense of belonging. Moreover, participation in these games was an invaluable opportunity to build bonds with other Higher Education Institutions in the country and, most importantly, to consolidate unity and fraternity within our own university community. Each competition became a stage to reaffirm essential values such as solidarity, mutual respect, and unwavering perseverance.

For this reason, Universidad del Cauca extends its deepest and most sincere gratitude to each of the participants who were part of this enriching experience. Your representation was a source of immense pride, and your dedication, both on and off the field, is a tangible reflection of the profound commitment to the principles and values of this house of learning, which belongs to all, and where together we build and make our dreams come true.
