José Fernando Solanilla Duque from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences is part of the editorial committee along with professors Margarita del Rosario Salazar, Aidé Sáenz-Galindo, and Raúl Rodríguez-Herrera for the publication of the book "Biodegradable Polymers Concepts and Applications."

"Being part of the editorial team of such magnitude is not easy, as it is necessary to motivate the authors and co-authors of the book to make the corrections suggested by peer reviewers. It was a hard work of approximately more than three years, resulting in a work that contributes to the production of new knowledge from our territory and from our Alma Mater," expressed the research professor from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the University of Cauca, José Fernando Solanilla Duque. He, along with Margarita del Rosario Salazar, Aidé Sáenz-Galindo, and Raúl Rodríguez-Herrera, are the editors of the book "Biodegradable Polymers Concepts and Applications," published by CRC Press.

"In this case, we had the opportunity to be editors, along with Professor Margarita del Rosario Salazar, a graduate of the Doctorate in Agricultural Sciences and a professor at the Universidad Popular del César. We have made several publications in this regard with her, and what was important in this book was the achievement of publishing it with such an important publisher as CRC Press from the Taylor and Francis group," indicated the Teacher and Coordinator of the Agroindustry Department at the Santander campus in Quilichao.

This publication encompasses in its 24 chapters a conglomerate of concepts and specific applications in the treatment and characterization of biopolymers developed by experts in the field. The authors of six chapters are professors from the University of Cauca. The publication also involved the Research Group in Product Engineering and Agroindustrial Processes (GIPA), led by Professor José Fernando Solanilla Duque, and the Science and Technology of Biomolecules of Agroindustrial Interest Group (CYTBIA). Additionally, it included the participation of international researchers from the Universidad Coahuila and the Centro de Investigación de Química Aplicada (CIQA) in Coahuila, Mexico.
