ONDAS Program. Young researchers from Cauca share their projects and progress
The 5 research groups will represent their communities from Silvia, Popayán, and Morales at the next Regional Meeting on Social Appropriation of Knowledge.
On November 13, 2024, the Departmental Meeting "Scientific Vocations for Life 2024" took place at the University of Cauca, with the participation of 21 research groups from the municipalities of Silvia, Popayán, and Morales.
During this event, students from various educational institutions enthusiastically presented the results of their research projects, covering topics ranging from environmental conservation to technological innovation applied to their communities.
In this space for scientific exchange, each group shared their achievements, learnings, and challenges, standing out for promoting creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.
This Departmental Meeting reinforced the commitment of the ONDAS Cauca program and the University of Cauca to the development of local capacities and the empowerment of youth to face the challenges in their communities.
From this event, 5 research groups were selected to represent their communities at the next Regional Meeting on Social Appropriation of Knowledge, within the framework of the project "Proposal for the Implementation of the ONDAS Program in the municipalities of Popayán, Silvia, and Morales in the Department of Cauca" ID 6091.
