You have until June 16, 2025 to begin writing a new and meaningful chapter in your life: making your dream of becoming a professional a reality through a transformative journey of growth at the Universidad del Cauca. Explore now the academic programs available for the second semester of 2025 in Popayán and Santander de Quilichao, and get ready for exciting news in northern Cauca!
This is your moment! If you dream of studying at a public university accredited for high quality and with nearly 200 years of history, this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for. The Universidad del Cauca has opened admissions for the upcoming semester and offers a wide range of options for you in both Popayán and Santander de Quilichao.
In the capital of our department, you can enroll in programs such as Philosophy and Law (evening schedule), Anthropology, Regional and Environmental Development Geography, and Bachelor’s in Ethnoeducation (day schedule). If you are a certified teacher (normalista), you can apply for special slots to continue your training in the Bachelor’s in Primary Education. And that’s not all, more than 37 undergraduate programs are available.
We also have great news: for the first time, the Bachelor’s in Ethnoeducation will be offered in Santander de Quilichao, adding to existing programs such as Agroindustrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Modern Languages (emphasis in English and French), and Law (day and evening schedules).
Excited? Your first step is to consult all the program details and available slots in Academic Agreement 007 of 2025. To make sure you don’t miss any key dates, check the Admissions Calendar in Academic Agreement 006 of 2025.
If you are from a region without access to higher education institutions (such as San Andrés, Providencia, and Santa Catalina), belong to an Indigenous community in Cauca, are part of the Afro-Colombian population from the Pacific region of Cauca, come from remote rural areas, are a victim of the armed conflict, received the Andrés Bello Distinction, are a certified teacher from a partner institution, or graduated from one of the 13 municipalities in northern Cauca, you may be eligible for differential admission pathways. Please note: registering under these modalities does not automatically guarantee admission, so it is essential to read all requirements carefully through this link.
Also important: the Universidad del Cauca is a national public institution covered by the “Yo Puedo Estudiar” Tuition-Free Policy established by the Government of Colombia. If you believe you meet the criteria, we encourage you to review the official information and consult the Operational Guidelines. Keep in mind that this benefit is not granted directly by the University, but by the Ministry of National Education, according to current regulations.
