As a testament to the university community's ongoing commitment to excellence, the Quality and Institutional Accreditation Management Center successfully completed the process of renewing the quality certificates awarded by ICONTEC.

The University of Cauca, in its journey toward institutional reaccreditation, has reaffirmed its commitment to academic and administrative excellence by successfully completing the process of renewing the quality certificates awarded by the Colombian Institute of Technical Standards and Certification (ICONTEC). This renewal, the result of the continuous effort by our Alma Mater's community to maintain the highest standards in its processes, reflects the great commitment undertaken in this challenging but rewarding path toward institutional reaccreditation, which is scheduled to culminate in 2027.

Thus, the process of renewing the quality certificates awarded by ICONTEC, a demanding mission led by the Quality and Institutional Accreditation Management Center, included a thorough evaluation of the University's quality management system policies, practices, and procedures, ensuring compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard required by this organization. In this regard, the renewed certificates are valid from May 20 of the current year until February 25, 2027, ensuring that the quality of services and processes at our Alma Mater will be maintained at a level of efficiency, effectiveness, and transparency, thereby reflecting the maturity of its quality assurance system.

On this occasion, the Director of the Quality and Institutional Accreditation Management Center, Dr. Alexander Buendía, expressed his satisfaction with this good news, highlighting that 'We are a University that, looking ahead to our bicentennial, has extremely interesting processes that contribute to fulfilling our educational mission. In this sense, I express my gratitude to the entire university community for doing things well, as they have a commitment and responsibility to our quality assurance systems. We must not let our guard down; we need to continue working to keep doing things right.'

The renewal of these certificates not only reaffirms the quality of the processes at the University of Cauca but also strengthens the confidence of students, parents, and the public in this institution that is #PatrimonioDeTodos (Heritage of All). This achievement, aligned with the University's strategic objectives, allows us to continue progressing in the task of strengthening ourselves, day by day, as a bicentennial University Accredited in High Quality for another 10 years.

With this renewal, the University of Cauca commits to continue advancing in its journey towards institutional reaccreditation, thereby supporting its mission to offer excellent higher education that contributes to the comprehensive development of its students and the progress of the region and the country; an education that transforms lives and makes dreams come true
