Edgar Antonio López from the Universidad Javeriana pointed out that the documentary showcases the life of the cultural center "La Casa de la Paz" through the faces and voices of five former combatants who, without abandoning their identity, remain steadfast in their struggle to build a more just society with equal opportunities for all. "In addition to the rich cultural life of the center, this documentary also presents how La Trocha craft beer is distributed and over fifty products from collectives formed by signatories of the agreement, victims of the armed conflict, Afro-descendant communities, indigenous peoples, and rural communities," added Edgar Antonio.
After the documentary screening, the attendees participated in a discussion with Doris Suárez from La Trocha. La Casa de la Paz, Leidy Chocué from the “Las Manuelitas” Women's Association, and Jaidivier Ojeda, a professor at the University of Cauca, who stated, "This space is important because it allows us to share the work being done by the reintegrated individuals to remain committed to the Peace Agreement, considering the challenges faced in its implementation."

This audiovisual product is the result of a research project in which Emilse Galvis, Juan Esteban Santamaría, and Edgar Antonio López, professors at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana’s Faculty of Theology, worked with Doris Suárez, Alejandra Téllez, Alexander Monroy, David Villegas, and Sebastián Paz through a Participatory Action Research process. The resources were provided by the Organization of Catholic Universities of Latin America and the Caribbean (ODUCAL) and the Latin American and Caribbean Episcopal Council (CELAM). The screenwriter and director, "Anónimo Nadie," collaborated with the IndyonTV Foundation on the production of the documentary.
Thus, this academic event helped highlight the specific challenges of reintegration processes in Colombia, as well as their importance for reconciliation and the construction of territorial peace. In this regard, the University of Cauca reaffirms its commitment to building an inclusive and sustainable comprehensive peace that recognizes the voices of those who have historically been silenced. Therefore, supporting initiatives like La Trocha: Space for Reconciliation and the Construction of Historical Memory for Women, a café-bar based in Popayán, is vital. This initiative is grounded in the economic autonomy of female signatories of the peace agreement and victims of the armed conflict and is consolidating as a space for meeting, dialogue, and social fabric reconstruction. Supporting such processes is not only an act of solidarity but also a concrete way to strengthen peace from the territories, recognizing the transformative power of women and their essential role in building new narratives for the country.
