Graduates from Unicauca lead proposal for the enhancement of technical and professional education.

La Universidad -

Through the Ayté Chair and the Opportunity Factory, the company led by graduates of the University of Cauca aims to transform the educational environment of the Cauca department and the future of Telematics technologists.

The Telematics program at the University of Cauca invites you to learn about the company Ayté, led by graduates of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications, César Fletcher and Nicolás Cerón Orozco. They have launched two important initiatives: the Ayté Chair and the Opportunity Factory, which aim to expand students' technical knowledge and build a solid bridge toward a promising and socially responsible professional future.

These two initiatives are transforming the educational landscape of the Cauca department and the future of Telematics technologists.

The Ayté Chair is more than an elective course; it is an opportunity to explore the development of serverless applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS). This course, designed exclusively for students who have completed 75% of the credits in the Telematics Technology program, offers a chance to learn directly from Ayté professionals. This educational experience combines theory and practice to prepare students not only to face current technological challenges but also to obtain professional certifications in AWS.

Participants of the first cohort are already experiencing how this course bridges the gap between theory and practice, giving them a competitive edge in the job market. “The Ayté Chair represents a revolution in how we interact with technology and the business world. It ensures that our students graduate not only with knowledge but with experience and vision,” says Iván Hernández, coordinator of the Telematics program.

Meanwhile, the Opportunity Factory stands out as an exceptional example of social responsibility and outreach for both Ayté and the University of Cauca. This program is aimed at young people who demonstrate proactivity in their pursuit of continuous improvement but face financial barriers to accessing technical or higher education. It offers an intensive six-month training program fully funded by Ayté, which includes a monthly minimum wage and technological tools to enable students to dedicate themselves exclusively to this training program. The program invests in the future of each participant, preparing them to make significant contributions to society and the national economy, and providing them with the option to enter the job market.

"The Opportunity Factory is a platform for personal and social transformation. Students not only acquire technical skills but also develop a vision to improve their future,” says Juan Carlos Corrales, a professor and liaison between the University and Ayté.
