Graduates and Students of Unicauca make donations in the north of Cauca

Professionals and members of different programs at the University of Cauca carried out donation campaigns for vulnerable families and Health Centers in the municipality of Caldono.

 

Graduates and students of the University of Cauca participated in collection and delivery campaigns for 85 grocery supplies for vulnerable families in the municipality of Caldono and also in the donation of 600 masks for the Siberia, Pescador, and Caldono Hospitals and IPS health centers.

 

The donation of face masks was advanced as a gesture of thanks to all the medical and administrative staff for their invaluable and selfless work in the service of the people of Cadiz. The support received for these donations was granted by merchants and the general community of Caldono.

 

Graduates Mauricio Mosquera, Aura Samboní from agro-industrial engineering (2019), José Ramiro Sandoval from the Law program (2016), Luz Dey Reyes from the Bachelor of Basic Education with Emphasis in Art Education (2010) and Vivian Yaneth Velasco from Law Headquarters Santander Quilichao (2018); together with the students Dennis Valeria Velasco of Physiotherapy and David Alejandro Moreno of Political Science, they are part of the “Movement we can” project, which has been carried out for several years in the municipality of Caldono by a significant group of citizens, and True to their motto "United by building change", they led this campaign to collect and donate grocery supplies to vulnerable families and to take masks in the north of the department of Cauca.

 

"The ‘we can’ Movement is a non-profit non-governmental organization founded in Caldono (Cauca) in 2017 that seeks to influence society through initiatives that promote progress, development and peace.", Explains David Alejandro Moreno .

 

"In these complex moments, of general difficulty for the world, we have found ourselves in the responsibility of contributing from our possibilities and beyond them, by generating collection campaigns and in this way, being able to reach the most vulnerable families in the municipality" concludes.
