As part of our mission plan aimed at positively transforming the lives of young people in the region, the University of Cauca has opened registrations for Undergraduate Programs. Thus, from October 2nd to November 19th, 2023, those ready to make one of the best decisions of their lives can proceed with the process and prepare to start their university journey in 2024.

Time flies, and we are already open for registrations for the programs available at both the Popayán and Santander de Quilichao campuses of the University of Cauca. In compliance with the schedule set for the I Academic Period of 2024, supported by Academic Agreement 016 of 2023 (admission process calendar), interested individuals have almost a month and a half to apply for the positions available to access one of our undergraduate programs in Popayán and Santander de Quilichao.

Recognized by the Ministry of National Education with High-Quality Accreditation as one of the main Higher Education Institutions in the southwest of the country, the University of Cauca is highly committed to professional training processes in the territories. Understanding the challenging dynamics of its context, it has established a series of special cases to facilitate access to the University for a larger number of population groups.

This includes applicants from departments without higher education institutions, residents of the Islands of San Andrés and Providencia and Santa Catalina, Afro-descendants from the territories of the Cauca Pacific coast, indigenous people from Cauca, candidates from marginalized areas of Cauca, and the most recently approved case related to victims of armed conflict in Cauca. Considering that during this process, many questions may arise, here are some key points associated with frequently asked questions:

"If I want to start a career in the first semester of 2024, what programs are available and their weighting?" To learn about the undergraduate programs offered for the 2024 I Period and their weighting percentages, consult the following link. Remember that to be part of the registration process, you must have the results of the Saber 11 ICFES Tests, with a minimum score of 160 for programs offered in Popayán or 150 for programs offered by the Regionalization Center at our Santander de Quilichao campus.

"How is the documentation submitted?" If you are among the group of applicants in special cases, you can choose to submit the required documents to verify compliance with all requirements through one of the following options:

Physically at the Admissions, Registration, and Academic Control Division facilities between December 20th and 24th, 2023.

In case you live in another region or a place distant from the University of Cauca's campuses, you can submit the documentation by requesting the link to the Google form established for this process. To do this, you must send the request with the required documentation to the email admisionespregrado@unicauca.edu.co no later than November 18th, 2023, at 5:00 p.m.

"Can I study for free?" It is important to mention that the Ministry of National Education regulated, through Decree 1667 of 2021, the Free Education Policy for undergraduate programs. Through its Operational Regulations, it discloses the requirements and conditions to access this benefit.
