Doctorate in Electronics Sciences receives international recognition

La Universidad -

This is the AUIP Prize for the Quality of Postgraduate and Doctorate in Latin America in its tenth version, highlighting the academic quality, the articulation of research groups and the relationship with professors, graduates and students. The recognition will be delivered on March 30 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

“It is the result of the articulation in the work carried out by the GNTT Group of the Department of Telecommunications, the Group in Industrial Automation of the Department of Electronics and Automation, and the IDIS Group of the Systems Department, which support the Doctorate in Electronics Sciences”, Said on this recognition the professor of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications, Cesar Collazos.

The Doctorate in Electronics Sciences was nominated for the AUIP Award two years ago, and at the end of November 2019 it was visited by international peers who reviewed the program in academics, in the activities carried out by the groups of research and its relationship with students, teachers and graduates. The recognition will be delivered on March 30 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The committee that was in charge of the postulation of the AUIP Prize for the Quality of Postgraduate and Doctorate in Latin America is made up of teachers Pablo Jojoa, Oscar Andrés Vivas, Cesar Collazos and Julio Ariel Hurtado, the latter as Program Coordinator, as well as a student representative.

In that context, a high valuation was achieved in the AUIP Award, which becomes a challenge to preserve and strengthen the dynamics of the program and its national and international projection. “The process of accreditation of the program is coming, for which we must continue promoting research alongside the formation of human talent with ethical values,” said Professor Cesar Collazos.

It is noteworthy that the Doctorate in Electronics Sciences has several graduates occupying important positions in companies and institutions in the world, in addition to having students and teachers from other countries, which gives it an international character.
