The Colombian Society of Computing highlights the work of the Universidad del Cauca professor, César Alberto Collazos, with the 'Life and Work' award.
The recognition was granted to the professor from the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications at the Universidad del Cauca during the 17th Colombian Computing Congress, held in the city of Medellín.
The 'Life and Work' award presented by the Colombian Society of Computing aims to acknowledge and celebrate outstanding careers and remarkable contributions in the field of informatics, systems, and computing in Colombia and internationally.
On this occasion, Professor César Alberto Collazos from the Universidad del Cauca was honored for his leadership in the Human-Computer Interaction field at both national and international levels, where he coordinates various research networks in the area.
Professor César Alberto Collazos, affiliated with the Systems Engineering program of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications, serves as the coordinator of the IDIS Research and Development in Software Engineering Group. He also leads the HCI-Collab Network, a Collaborative Network to support teaching-learning processes in Human-Computer Interaction at the Ibero-American level. Currently, he represents the Latin American Center for Studies in Informatics (CLEI) before the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP).
The recognition was presented during the 17th Colombian Computing Congress (17CCC) organized by the Colombian Society of Computing from August 8th to 11th, 2023, at Universidad EAFIT in Medellín.
