The CDT Vial team visited the facilities of KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden
From September 18th to 22nd, the team led by Professor Jaime Rafael Obando Ante undertook a visit where topics related to knowledge transfer, strategic alliances, and the presentation of research projects were addressed at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.
The director of the CDT Vial project, Professor Jaime Rafael Obando Ante, accompanied by his technical team composed of Fredy Eduardo López Daza, Carlos Aníbal Calero Valenzuela, Ferney Quiñones Sinisterra, Juan Carlos Benavides Ruiz, and Jesús Andrés Burbano, visited the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.
The visit, held from September 18th to 22nd, aimed to achieve the following objectives:
Knowledge transfer: Sharing information on the Swedish triple helix model of development and innovation involving academia, the university, and the state in applied research projects.
Strengthening strategic alliances: Enhancing collaboration between the University of Cauca through the CDT Vial project and the Royal Institute of Technology KTH. The aim is to establish connections enabling researchers' mobility between both institutions, facilitating the completion of master's and doctoral theses in Cauca and at KTH in Sweden.
Presentation of research projects: Showcasing ongoing research projects at CDT Vial and promoting the involvement of KTH research groups working in related areas.
During the visit, the CDT Vial team had the opportunity to exchange knowledge with directors and leaders of different research groups at KTH, including Hans Lundin, Regional Advisor for Latin America at the International Relations Office; Katarina Larsen, Researcher at the Division of History of Science, Technology, and Environment; Henry Blomgreb, Researcher at the Unit of Sustainability, Industrial Dynamics, and Entrepreneurship; Hans Looof, Director of the Center of Excellence for Science and Innovation Studies at the Department of Economics; Johan Silfwebrand, Lecturer and Researcher in the Concrete Structures Unit; and Donnie Lygonis, Business Strategist at KTH Innovation.
This meeting yielded positive outcomes and provided the CDT Vial team with new learnings and challenges to continue contributing to society through science, technology, and innovation.
