Call to unify efforts against COVID-19

La Universidad -

Different sectors of the University of Cauca, including graduates, teachers and researchers from different areas of knowledge, call for joint work to overcome the current situation with the Cauca population in mind.

“Without a doubt, the arrival of COVID -19 in Colombian territory has revealed the fragility of our health system, of public, economic and social policies, and of the weak individual response to the collective threat that is looming today in our country ”, says Alexander Peña, physiotherapist from the Universidad del Cauca and member of the Colombian Association of Critical Medicine and Intensive Care, and one of the callers  who makes this university call to jointly work on a project that serves the population Caucana through a multidisciplinary group that is committed to responding to current needs.

Alexander Peña adds that it is gratifying and fills the heart with university pride to see how the different seedbeds, collectives and research groups have summoned their mentors, researchers, seeds and even many have organized themselves into working groups to propose solutions and execute them at the same time, as soon as possible.
