The Cauca Committee for the Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of Orlando Fals Borda’s Birth, together with the Economics Program and the Master’s in Interdisciplinary Development Studies, invites you to the event Orlando Fals Borda — 100 Years Since His Birth. The Persistence of Utopias.
In this tribute to the sentipensador Orlando Fals Borda, we will reflect on his contributions to popular territorialities: the ways in which communities organize themselves within their spaces to resist and build alternative life projects. From this perspective, Fals Borda shows us this path as the most suitable for achieving Peace.

During the event, the second keynote lecture will be presented: “The Territory as a Socio-environmental Construction of Peace: Orlando Fals Borda’s Path to Ending the Colombian Conflict”, by Professor Carlos Corredor Jiménez.
