Colombia 4.0 – Digital Territories 15 years
Date: Wednesday, August 27, 2025
Place: University of Cauca – Popayán
Time: 08:00 am to 05:00 pm
In partnership with the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies, the program Colombia 4.0 – Digital Territories celebrates 15 years of bringing digital transformation to the regions of the country. The celebration begins on August 21 with a tour through the capitals of the departments of Meta, Cauca, Huila, Boyacá, Norte de Santander, Putumayo, Cesar, Valle del Cauca, Antioquia, Atlántico, and will conclude in Bogotá during the first week of November. This journey will feature industry leaders, local talent, and entrepreneurs, fostering innovation and bridging the digital divide with topics such as artificial intelligence, video games, fintech, edtech, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
This edition seeks to empower local talent, highlight regional technological progress, and strengthen the commitment to close the digital divide from the territories. “This year we are going to decentralize technology, because Colombian digital talent is not only in the capital, it exists in all the country’s departments. Technology is for life, and we aim for the digital economy to grow from the territories, because this will be the main focus of progress. That is why Colombia 4.0 – Digital Territories comes to the regions to create a technological marketplace, and give people throughout the country the opportunity to showcase their digital creativity,” stated ICT Minister Julián Molina.
With more than 300 national and international speakers from over 15 countries, Colombia 4.0 will offer a high-level academic agenda including conferences, panels, conversations, and workshops on topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Video Games, Animation, Digital Entrepreneurship, FinTech, AgroTech, EdTech, HealthTech, TravelTech, PropTech, and GovTech.
